Unit 3.6

What part of deriving a learning target was challenging for you?  
Just thinking of how best to apply to the standard that I had picked. I wanted to make sure that it would make sense for the students to understand what is being asked of them. I needed to make sure that the learning target would match up with the standard ensuring that what the students were going to learn would cover what is required from the standard. 
What connection does the learning target have with assessment?
The more clear that my learning target is, it makes the assessment that much easier. This is because the learning target is clear and concise. So, me discerning whether the students have met that target becomes much easier. Also, if the students were not hitting the learning target, having it be clear as to what it is. Makes it easier for me to see what corrections need to be made by the students or by my instructions.
